When I first started my internship at Flashstarts I had no clue what an accelerator was or really how a software startup worked. During my time there I gained experience working with ten different startups and ended up being one of the top interns in a class of 20 interns. Following the internship, I was asked to come back full time post-graduation. As the Program Manager at Flashstarts, I planned events and managed over 20 interns during the summer program. This program culminated in a Demo Day event with over 300 investors and entrepreneurs in attendance that was my direct responsibility.

Other responsibilities include: sponsorships, design, website maintenance, branding, day-to-day operations.

While at Flashstarts my boss, Charles Stack, had a crazy idea. 30,000 square feet in the heart of downtown dedicated to entrepreneurs. Thus was born StartMart. Having dual roles at Flashstarts and StartMart taught me project management and organization. Working on creating a new coworking space allowed me to be on the ground floor of brand creation and implementation. I was also able to start coding again and set up the StartMart.Us website and aided in its successful $10,000 Kickstarter campaign.
